After visiting Kashan my new friends and I moved onto Isfahan, which in Persian means “half the world”.
I couldn’t resist sketching this shop front, tucked down a side street in the corner of Naqsh-e Jahan Square, the second largest square in the world. Around the outside of the square, there are approximately 2km of tunnels that constitute the Bazaar. It really is a marvel to behold, I lost myself for quite some time…
We visited the Jameh Mosque and had the privilege to have a discussion with an Imam.
Isfahan is so beautiful, I didn’t get to sketch half the things I would have liked to but I treasure the experience of being there.
The Isfahan Music Museum was a particular highlight, I really recommend visiting if you are in the area.
